Press Releas 25.3.2011
Pyhä-Luosto Visitor and Culture Centre and its mascot, the Siberian jay, need your help! On the 22nd of March, a competition will be launched with the aim of finding a name for the Pyhä-Luosto Visitor and Culture Centre and a suitable slogan to go with it. The Centre’s mascot, a Siberian jay, also flies without a name. Take part in the competition and win magnificent service and product prizes from the Pyhä-Luosto resort! The Pyhä-Luosto’s new attraction will open its doors at the foot of the Pyhätunturi fells in 2012.
The Pyhä-Luosto Visitor and Culture Centre is a window and a gate to the Pyhä-Luosto National Park and a fascinating destination. The exhibition, which offers extraordinary experiences concerning the region’s unique nature and local culture, is an inspiring learning environment, as well as an impressive attraction. The new centre is a versatile stage for all kinds of events in the Pyhä-Luosto resort. The Visitor and Culture Centre offers many kinds of services: hiking information, a tourist information point, guide services, conference premises and a café-restaurant serving delicious meals and treats that top off the experience. The Visitor and Culture Centre project is run by the Metsähallitus Natural Heritage Services.
