NordGuide has signed a hunting rights agreement for two elk hunting weeks covering the 3,000 hectares of Rosfors Ecopark. The agreement with Sveaskog is for three years. In addition, NordGuide also has a local hunting team agreement with Sveaskog.

“This is just another example of how our forests, lakes and rivers are perfectly suited to the development of eco tourism in Sweden. NordGuide has extensive experience of hunting tourism and we’re absolutely thrilled to be involved in this collaborative venture,” says Gunilla Andersson of Sveaskog Naturupplevelser.

Symbiosis with local hunting team

Tommy Holmberg, Founder of NordGuide, will run part of his business in parallel with the local hunting team that stalks big and small game in the grounds of the park.

“The fact that more people will be using the excellent elk hunting ground in Rosfors is a big advantage. The agreement with Sveaskog regulates the practice in a good way. My ambition is to establish an open dialogue with the local hunting team,” says Holmberg.

NordGuide runs a number of different activities – at sea, in the forest and in the mountains. The company has a number of specially-trained guides, experts in hunting, fishing and wilderness tourism. The business is centred around the attractive wilderness areas and watercourses in northern Scandinavia. The company's customers mainly consist of small groups, although private individuals from Sweden and other parts of the world also use their services.

Collaboration with conference venue

In order to be able to offer customers a complete hunting experience package, Holmberg has teamed up with Rosfors Herrgård, a conference centre and hotel situated at the heart of the park.

“It’s good to know that the area’s forest and natural beauty are being experienced and enjoyed. It will be great working alongside a local businessman such as Tommy. We are looking forward to welcoming new guests, offering them good food and a comfortable place to stay in our wonderful surroundings,” says Linda Nilsson, Manager of Rosfors Herrgård.
