Saturday 27 March is the date pegged for this year's Earth Hour, an annual, global manifestation for the climate. It was initiated by Sveaskog's working partner WWF.
World Earth Hour is the largest manifestation for the climate in the world, and involves all the participants switching off their lights for an hour. Both companies and private citizens can partake.
"At Sveaskog we have taken measures to ensure that all the lighting in all the offices will be switched off between 20.30 and 21.30 on 27 March," says Olof Johansson, Head of Environment and Sustainable Development.
The manifestation is held at many places throughout Sweden. On the WWF website there is a calendar giving information on the various activities taking place in the different counties.
