Roundtable Meeting on a Legally Binding Agreement on Forests in Europe 2018

Followingthe Madrid Ministerial Decision adopted at the Extraordinary MinisterialConference held in October 2015 in Madrid, FOREST EUROPE at an appropriate timeand at the latest by 2020, will explore possible ways to find common ground on aLegally Binding Agreement on Forests in Europe.

Inaccordance with the FOREST EUROPE Work Programme 2016-2020, a roundtablemeeting shall be called concerning all options for the procedural follow-up ofthe Madrid Extraordinary Ministerial Decision.

The ExpertLevel Meeting held on 28-29 November 2017 decided that the Roundtable Meeting ona Legally Binding Agreement on Forests in Europe will take place in September2018 in Bratislava.

In thisregard, the General Coordinating Committee decided to hold the Roundtable Meetingon a Legally Binding Agreement on Forests in Europe on 19-20 September 2018 in Bratislava, Slovakia.
